Having obtained his degree in Economics at the University of Bath, Simon joined the Barnes Roffe team in 1999 as an audit graduate trainee. Reluctant to be one of the crowd at a bigger firm, Simon was attracted to Barnes Roffe’s top 50 medium sized status with the benefits of immediate client exposure and the partners’ “open door” policy.
Having successfully managed a large and diverse portfolio of clients for several years, Simon became a partner in January 2010. As a partner he’s responsible for an eclectic mix of audit clients, but he also spends his time providing businesses with a range of sound business and tax planning advice, calling upon the wealth of experience and knowledge he has gained in his time at Barnes Roffe. Of key importance to Simon is our commitment to consistently provide clients with new ideas and to ensure that our advice is delivered in a jargon free and easy to understand way.
Away from work Simon is married and has two young children. When he gets chance he follows most sports. If he’s not organising the Barnes Roffe Golf Day or watching his beloved Everton, you’ll probably find him on his bike training for another trip to the Pyrenees or the Alps.
